Hello guys, not sure if this is the right place to post this? but if its not iam sure one of the admin will move it for me  Wink.

My name is Greg, iam 38 yrs old, myself and a friend have just got back into fishing after a 22 year break (family and work commitments put a stop to the fishing) but now we have a little more free time and have been looking for decent venues to fish, and came across CC whilst trawling the net.

The venue looks fantastic, which lakes would you suggest we fish? (at the moment we are just float fishing, no poles). We have fished Lindholme (Doncaster), Oak Mere (selby), Willitoft (selby), Stubbs Hall (Doncaster), Willowgarth (Doncaster), and have enjoyed all the venues to differing degrees.

We might pop through on Sunday the 12th of Sept, if any of you guys are there pop over and say hi, i will be in a big red Kia Sedona.

One last question, i suffer greatly with both knees can i park near the pegs?, as this would be a massive help.

Many thanks for listening to me drone on,

Greg.

Hi Greg sorry I didnt reply sooner but I was hoping that one of the other guys would post before me as any answer I may give may seem a little biased in some way.

If your a weekend fisherman then Jakes and BA's are usually all thats left to fish after the club matches are here. Generally speaking these two lakes offer as much as the 2 match lakes but vary on that the fish (carp) are small around the 12-14lb mark complared to 30+ in AJ's and 17lb in Hoskers.

These two lakes are ideally suited for anyone really they have easy access for vehicles and are only couple of paces walking from your car down to the pegs. They suit all kinds of fishing, either float fishing on the rod, ledger fishing on the rod or all kinds of pole fishing.

Other than that if you come down fishing mid week I would always recommend the main lake AJ's. This is where the big boys play, its bigger and deeper but so are the fish. But like I said before I'm biased because AJ's is my favorite spot because I'm still trying to break the 20lb fish mark.
