hydro is far superior to other elastics that I've tried but the price tag is far above others too. I use black and red hydro and I'm 100% behind it every fish, I worry more about my pole snapping than my hydro.

Ye i agree jamie it is too much for hydro but its the PROPER STUFF and yes but my top 2's only cost £15 so its or8 for me until i start paying £40 per top 2 on my margin pole.

its got to be hydro. i bought a new pole, and was advised to have hydro not because the shop was to get a bit more money, he did it me at a cut down price.
20 hydro.power top.
16 hydro.power top.
and a 6 to 8 match top kit .

must admit the first time i got a good fish on with the 16 top kit, lets just say my nether regions relaxed ! Shocked Shocked after 15 mins of crapping myself, landed a nice 17 pounder common carp .

yer I got a match top with either 8 or 10 black hydro can remember which, its what I put in for fishing the winter league. Tried to use my 14 middy elastic but those Ide and Roach etc just bounce right off. Went down to see Paul at Donny Angling Centre and he suggested I go for the hydro in 8 or 10 whatever it is. Everyone in the league told me it was going to be too heavy but I tried it and I honestly never lost a fish. The advantage of this elastic tho was the reasurance that if I did hook into a resonable carp I would still stand a good chance of landing it while still fishing for the smaller stuff.
